Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital selects clinical informatics provider Epro as digital partner

Epro, a leading healthcare informatics provider, has been selected by the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH) to implement its clinically-focused digital platform.

The Epro technology supports end-to-end outpatient management, inpatient flow, clinical correspondence, speech recognition, mobile access and integration with existing technology solutions.

LHCH is a frontrunner in driving Digital Transformation across healthcare in the UK. It has been accredited over recent years for its digital excellence, alongside having a longstanding history of investment in digital technology. It was one of the first Trusts nationally to pioneer the implementation of an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) in 2013.

In 2021, the Hospital Trust was announced by then-Health Secretary Matt Hancock as one of the second wave of trusts welcomed on to the Digital Aspirant Programme (a national digital scheme to support NHS trusts to improve their digital maturity, enabling better health, better care, financial sustainability and better experiences for our staff and patients).

“We are incredibly excited to be a part of the LHCH Digital Transformation journey,” said Jonathan Elliott, Managing Director of Epro. “When we first set out, our goal was to create a solution which provided better information more efficiently at the point of care and to be working alongside LHCH – which shares many of the same goals and values that we do – is an honour.”
